The Komati Fruit Group possesses a competitive advantage because we actively engage in the full cost and value chain of our product. The Group has over five decades of experience in agriculture, with a proven track record in citrus, sub-tropical fruit and sugar cane production. Our fruit is cultivated in diverse geographic regions and climates, resulting in a wide-ranging portfolio of crops and varieties.
The Komati Fruit Group has a sustainable corporate structure and make use of modern technology throughout the production and packing processes. We have been consistently committed to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBEE) projects and have actively been participating in community transformation efforts since 2004. Our workforce is highly skilled and we regularly implement educational programs to further develop our employees. The Komati Fruit Group plays an active role in secondary agricultural ventures.
The Directors of the Komati Fruit Group are deeply engaged in the industry and its associated stakeholders. They hold direct positions in organisations such as the Citrus Growers Association (CGA), Agricultural Development Agency (AGDA), Citrus Research International (CRI), Water Users Associations, Grapefruit and Valencia Forum, a canal board, processing factories, a carton factory, a chemical company, and the Agriculture Business Chamber of South Africa (AgBiz).
