Bosveld Sitrus (Pty) Ltd is a private company specialising in the production and export of citrus, avocado, bananas (locally) and now also blueberries. The company was established in 1954 by the late Theodore Maximillian Thalwitzer (snr) who began the family citrus business when the farm The Plains near Letsitele, on the banks of the Great Letaba River, Limpopo province, was bought.
The production units of this company are situated in Letsitele (citrus and cattle), Politsi (avocado and banana), Agatha (avocado) and Hoedspruit (citrus, blueberries, vegetables, mangoes and cattle). Ramadiepa, Mashutti and Nooyensboom also forms part of Bosveld Sitrus.
Through the growth in itself and the acquisition of the affiliate companies, Komati Fruit Group has grown to the biggest private citrus grower and exporter in South Africa.
The fruit from these farms are packed at Bosveld and Olifants River Packhouses.
