Komati Fruit Nurseries consist of two nurseries, an avocado nursery situated in Politsi, near Tzaneen, Limpopo Province, and a citrus nursery located in Malelane, Mpumalanga Province. Both these nurseries are officially registered with the Department of Agriculture.
Komati Fruit Citrus Nursery
Komati Fruit Nursery takes pride in being the pioneer Virus-Free and Insect-Secure citrus nursery in South Africa and Africa as a whole. We have established a state-of-the-art 5-Star, Level One Citrus Nursery in Mpumalanga.
Our citrus nursery has received HLB (Huanglongbing) safety accreditation from the Citrus Research International (CRI), demonstrating our unwavering commitment to tree health. To achieve this, we have collaborated with experts from across the globe to ensure that all equipment and materials used in the construction of our facilities and the production of citrus trees adhere to the stringent requirements of the CRI accreditation scheme.
In addition to the tree health characterisitics the nursery’s modern design promotes a humid environment and allows for precise temperature control, creating the ideal atmosphere for fostering the optimal growth of citrus trees with advanced root systems.
Komati Fruit Avocado Nursery
The Avocado nursery holds a prestigious 5 Star SAAGA accreditation and fulfills all the stipulated criteria of the Avocado Nurserymen’s Association Nursery Improvement Scheme. We specialize in the production of premium-quality avocado trees and offer valuable assistance to our growers, ranging from cultivar selection to producing exceptional trees, along with robust after-sales support. Our team of highly skilled professionals conducts thorough independent analyses on the growing medium, irrigation water, and seed/budwood materials to ensure the cultivation of strong and healthy trees.
