Clinics
The Group either provide their own clinic on certain farms or provide sufficient access to clinic services, during normal business hours. The services include, inter alia, occupational health, primary healthcare, and the provision of chronic and day-to-day medicine.
The clinics mainly focus on occupational health, this includes, inter alia:
- Overall medical examinations;
- Blood tests from employees exposed to chemicals;
- Annual sight, hearing and lung teste on all workshop and maintenance employees;
- Hearing tests are conducted on employees when they were exposed to loud noise;
- Annual medical tests on all packhouse employees;
- Other tests when necessary, such as pulse rate, body temperature and blood sugar tests.
Occupational health care doctors visit the clinics once every two months to enhance access to efficient medical treatment. When any employee is identified with a medical problem, they will immediately be referred to a clinic for further medical treatment. The Komati Group prioritise compliance with wearing protective clothing to ensure the safety of all employees to the best of their ability. The clinics also ensure immediate availability of medical treatment for any injuries obtained on duty and restock first aid kits.
